Abstract

This dissertation investigates the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and Islamic scholarship, focusing on the potential to enhance Islamic pedagogy through AI technologies while critically examining the ethical boundaries that emerge in their application. Through qualitative research methods, including interviews with leading scholars and the analysis of existing AI tools within Islamic contexts, the study identifies key opportunities such as personalized learning, accessibility of resources, and improved engagement in Islamic education. The findings reveal that while AI can significantly support the dissemination and understanding of Islamic teachings, it also raises pressing ethical concerns relating to the integrity of scholarship, the authenticity of religious interpretations, and the protection of intellectual property.
