Under the patronage of Nahyan bin Mubarak Abu Dhabi to host ‘International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance’ next February

Abu Dhabi, December 13 (WAM) His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, stressed that the world today is in dire need of an open dialogue that puts forward all ideas that triumph for man and the planet he lives on, and that all human civilizations are invited to this meaningful dialogue without excluding anyone or marginalizing the role of anyone, pointing out that the values of tolerance and human coexistence must be strongly present in this dialogue, which must be prepared on scientific grounds and solid research methods to come up with a vision and action plan for the sake of humanity, which the UAE always works on according to the wise vision of the wise leadership of the wise leadership.
This came after His Excellency was briefed on the work plan and objectives of the International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance, organized by the Emirates Scholars Center for Studies and Research under the theme “Bridging Civilizations and Nurturing Diversity” in Abu Dhabi next February, with prominent Emirati, international and Arab attendees.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau of the Department of Culture and Tourism and the contribution of the Zayed Research Center, the International Conference on Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance February 2024 is organized by the Emirates Researchers Center for Studies and Research in collaboration with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, with a prominent international presence including researchers, academics and scholars in the fields of civilizations, tolerance and human sciences.
The conference activities, sessions and research papers will focus on the study of promoting understanding and cooperation among different civilizations in a scientific concept, where experts, academics and interested parties will gather to discuss scientific issues related to promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence and their impact on communication with the culturally, ethnically, socially and religiously different others. The conference will also provide a wide range of relevant scientific topics such as sharing scientific experiences and extracting lessons learned from history, the role of culture and cultural transformation in promoting coexistence, multiculturalism in contemporary societies, the importance of understanding and respecting cultural differences, investing in the development of
The conference attracts more than 5,000 participants, including more than 50 speakers from government agencies, academia and international organizations involved in the study of the convergence of civilizations and tolerance. More than 200 scientific papers and discussion sessions will be presented under the theme “Bridging Civilizations and Nurturing Diversity.” The conference will be accompanied by an international exhibition from more than 35 countries to present their programs and global best practices in the fields of cultural and societal sustainability.
In addition, the first peer-reviewed scientific journal will be announced to provide a new perspective on the evolution of civilizations and introduce the latest studies and research in the field of tolerance and coexistence using scientific impact measurement and peer review tools.
