Emirates Scholar Elevate Kenya’s Academic Landscape with Advanced AI Workshop
Abu Dhabi – August 14: The Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies successfully organized an interactive workshop on how to write scientific research and academic papers using artificial intelligence techniques, in cooperation with Al Jamea-tus-Saifyah in Nairobi, Kenya.
The workshop targeted graduate students, researchers, and academics, providing them with the latest tools and techniques for harnessing AI to enhance their research and academic writing.
The workshop was designed to cover a wide range of topics, starting with an introduction to AI and its applications in scientific research and extending to how advanced tools can be used to collect, analyze, interpret, and visualize data. The workshop also included interactive sessions and practical workshops, giving participants the opportunity to apply what they learned.
Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Center and Vice Chancellor of the Board of Trustees, stated that this initiative stems from the wise leadership’s vision to empower youth around the world and equip them with the skills necessary to contribute to building a better future. He added that this initiative affirms the UAE’s commitment to promoting dialogue among different cultures, societies, and religions, praising Kenya’s leading role in this field.
Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General of the Center and Board of Trustees Member, expressed his happiness with this fruitful cooperation with Saif University. He emphasized the importance of exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field of AI among different countries as the best way to address future global challenges, such as implementing the principles of peaceful coexistence among societies and providing full support to the most vulnerable groups in society, by taking full advantage of the potential of AI, scientific research, and academia.
Sayyedna Elias Ben Tayeb Al-Badri, Dean of Al Jamea-tus-Saifyah in Kenya, praised this fruitful scientific addition, emphasizing the importance of such practical workshops in developing the capabilities of students and researchers. He added, “We are proud to host this distinguished workshop, which will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing Al Jamea-tus-Saifyah position as a center for knowledge and academic excellence.”
