UAE Makes Significant Advancement in Knowledge by Joining ISSN System

“Abu Dhabi – August 14: The United Arab Emirates, represented by the National Archives and Library Authority, has achieved a new milestone in the field of culture and knowledge. The Ministry of Culture and Youth announced the UAE’s accession, represented by the International Archives and National Library, to the International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) system. This accession is a culmination of the persistent efforts made by the UAE to enhance its status as a cultural and knowledge hub on both the regional and international levels.”

This accession is a strategic step that contributes to the bibliographic control of national intellectual output, facilitating broad access and utilization. His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture and Youth, praised this achievement, stating that it represents a significant advancement in the field of knowledge management and documentation of Emirati intellectual production.
