Launch of the First Edition of the Emirates Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2025

Her Excellency Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, announced the launch of the first edition of the Emirates Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2025, which will be held in Al Ain from May 28 to 31, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

During a press conference organized by the UAE Government Media Office, Her Excellency emphasized that this national agricultural event highlights one of the pioneering initiatives in supporting the agricultural sector. She noted that the choice of Al Ain stems from its historic status as an agricultural hub established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, due to its strong agricultural infrastructure and favorable environmental and social factors.

In response to a question about the importance of scientific research in developing the agricultural sector, the Minister explained that climate challenges are among the most pressing issues facing agriculture in the country, reinforcing the need for integration between applied research and development plans.

She pointed out that collaboration with national and international universities is a strategic tool for finding solutions that enhance water efficiency, improve soil utilization, and support the development of a smart agricultural environment based on advanced technologies.

She added that the agricultural sector must leverage artificial intelligence technologies to analyze agricultural data and provide integrated automation systems, whether in irrigation, pesticide use, or resource management, ushering in a qualitative transformation in sustainable agricultural production models in the UAE.
