Emirates Scholar Patronages the First International Environmental Medicine Conference in Italy
Chieti, Italy – September 2024: The Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies is proud to have sponsored the First International Conference on Environmental Medicine, which was recently held in Chieti, Italy. Under the theme “Environmental Threats to Human Health: From Genetics to Epigenetics,”
The conference brought together a distinguished group of scientists, researchers, and specialists from around the world to discuss the effects of environmental factors on human health, with a focus on the genetic and epigenetic dimensions of these impacts.
The conference is organized by the Italian Society of Environmental Medicine (SIMA) in collaboration with the “Gabriele D’Annunzio” University in Chieti-Pescara, with support from the Environmental Health Research Organization (EHRO), the Spanish Society of Environmental Medicine and Climate Change (SESMA), and the Alliance of Academic Sciences (LSA).
The conference aims to present a new vision for medicine and epidemiology based on primary prevention and the application of the precautionary principle in addressing diseases caused by environmental exposures.
The sponsorship of Emirates Scholar reinforces the UAE’s ambitious vision of supporting scientific research and innovation and its ongoing commitment to addressing global health challenges posed by environmental impacts.
