His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, welcomes a delegation from Emirates Scholar.

Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies subsidiary of Emirates Science and Research Foundation held a fruitful meeting with His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of Saint Mark. The meeting was attended by Dr. Firas Habbal, President of Emirates Scholar and Vice-chancellor of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director General and Board Member, along with the accompanying delegation.

Discussions focused on exploring avenues of cooperation with the Coptic Orthodox Church to promote the values of peace and coexistence. Key topics included the importance of conducting joint research to strengthen social cohesion and the provision of training programs utilizing artificial intelligence technologies to drive scientific research forward.
During the discussions, the delegation highlighted Emirates Scholar’s ongoing efforts to position the United Arab Emirates as a global scientific hub. By fostering interfaith dialogue, promoting research-based solutions, and empowering youth, Emirates Scholar continues to build bridges of cooperation among peoples and contribute to a more interconnected world.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros II emphasized the importance of promoting values such as peace, tolerance, and unity within communities. His Holiness commended the efforts of Emirates Scholar in promoting scientific awareness, empowering youth, and fostering an enabling environment for thought and knowledge.

His Holiness was also presented with the book of the First edition of International Dialogue of Civilizations & Tolerance Conference2024, His Holiness expressed his appreciation for this significant contribution and commended Emirates Scholar’s role in promoting scientific dialogue and supporting the values of coexistence and harmony.
