Abstract

This Paper Suggests A Possible Way For Implementing Robotics Into The Industry’s Ecosystem. Infrastructure Construction And Maintenance Can Lead The Way For The Automation In The Construction Industry. Infrastructure Operators Have A Focus On The Life Cycle Of A Building And Construction, Unlike Real-Estate Developers Make The Big Money On Land-Value By Selling. Furthermore, The Costs And Effort Of Maintaining Infrastructure Is A Substantial Steady Planned Investment For Owner-Operators, Which Is Even More Critical As Availability Efficiency Is Key While Maintenance And Construction In A Functioning Infrastructure Are Of High Risk For Construction Crews And For Service Availability. Infrastructure Is Repetitive (E.G. Tunnels, Subway Stations) Which Creates The Business Case While Being Heavily Regulated And Supervised Which Lead To A High Documentation Need Which Robots Can Generate Automatically And Precisely. Owner-Operators Define Contracting And Can Strategically Influence The Whole Value-Chain In How To Build And Maintain – Therefore How To Collaborate, Digitize, And Automate.
