Kazakhstan President Awards Majid Al Usaimi the Order of Friendship

Kazakhstan President awards Majid Al Usaimi in recognition of his remarkable efforts to strengthen the Paralympic Movement across Asia and highlight the pivotal role of the United Arab Emirates in empowering People of Determination. The award, the prestigious Order of Friendship, was presented by H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, during an official reception at the Akorda Presidential Palace in Astana, attended by senior officials and dignitaries.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the initiatives of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), the participation of Kazakhstan’s athletes in international events, and the successful organization of major Para sport competitions in the country. Both sides reaffirmed the importance of collaboration to achieve sustainable development in sport, inclusivity, and social empowerment.
President Tokayev praised the APC’s growing influence and commended Majid Al Usaimi’s leadership in driving forward the Paralympic Movement in Asia. He underlined Kazakhstan’s strong partnership with the UAE and emphasized that Kazakhstan President awards Majid Al Usaimi not only for his personal achievements but also as a testament to the UAE’s pioneering leadership in supporting People of Determination globally.
Majid Al Usaimi dedicated this prestigious honor to the UAE’s wise leadership, represented by H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence; and H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
Expressing his gratitude, Majid Al Usaimi said: “This prestigious honor from President Tokayev is a recognition of the UAE’s unwavering leadership in empowering People of Determination. It strengthens our commitment to sustainable development and advancing the Paralympic Movement both in Asia and globally.”
Al Usaimi commended the Kazakhstan Paralympic Committee for successfully hosting the 8th APC Conference and General Assembly in Astana, one of the most important forums in Asia.
