Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies unveils its future plans

Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (June 30, 2024): The Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies held its annual Board of Trustees meeting at the Majlis of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi. The meeting, attended by prominent diplomats, high-level officials, and partners, celebrated the center’s achievements and unveiled ambitious plans for the future.
The center announced the organization of five new international scientific conferences over the course of 2024 and 2025, in the fields of linguistic intelligence and medicine, tolerance, social responsibility, and sustainability. These conferences will serve as dynamic platforms for the exchange of knowledge and ideas among elite researchers and specialists from around the world. This initiative comes in line with the Center’s commitment to promote the culture of scientific research and encourage international cooperation in this field.
The meeting also highlighted the great strides the center has made over the past year. The number of members increased by more than 15,000, while published research papers rose to 470. The launch of four new peer-reviewed journals and 16 active research projects underscore the center’s commitment to advancing scientific progress.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Advisory Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies. emphasizing the importance of these future steps, he said: “Our strategic plans embody our commitment to realizing the UAE leadership’s vision of making scientific research a key tool for informed decision-making. We are confident that these initiatives will go a long way in positioning the UAE Research Center as a leading research center both locally and globally.”



Also announced was the establishment of the Gulf Researchers Association, a pioneering initiative that will serve as the first research indexing body in the Gulf region, strengthening the region’s position on the global research map and unifying scientific research efforts in the Gulf region
On the technical and digital transformation side, we announced the launch of CiteScholar, the first integrated automated platform for managing and reviewing conferences in both English and Arabic. CiteScholar will allow easy and efficient management and review of conferences, contributing to raising the level of scientific research at the local and international levels, whether in English or Arabic.”
In this regard, he stated Dr. Firas M. Dr. Firas M. Habbal, President of the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He said: “We are extremely proud of the center’s growth, with a remarkable 28% increase in research activities compared to the previous year.
and expressed Dr. Fawaz M. Dr. Fawaz M. Habbal, Director General and member of the Board of Trustees. echoed the same sentiments, adding: “These achievements are a testament to the unwavering commitment of our members, partners and employees.”
Commenting on the launch of the Gulf Researchers Association and CiteScholar initiatives, Mr. Khalid Al Ali, Secretary and member of the Board of Trustees, said: “The Emirates Research and Studies Center is keen on pioneering innovation and advancing scientific research.
The establishment of the Gulf Researchers Association and the CiteScholar platform are two strategic steps towards realizing this vision. On the one hand, the association will unify the region’s research efforts and strengthen its position on the global research map.
The meeting concluded with the announcement of new members joining the Board of Trustees and Advisory Committees. In addition, the Center recognized the significant contributions of its partners and supporters through an awards ceremony.
