Emirates Scholar and Nasser Center for Innovation Sign MoU to Strengthen Research Collaboration during the EAMC 2025

On the sidelines of the official ceremony of the 2nd European Arab Medical Congress held in Abu Dhabi, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies and Sheikh Nasser Center for Innovation and Consultancy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This partnership reflects the UAE’s vision of strengthening scientific, academic, and research collaboration with leading institutions across the region. The MoU aims to enhance joint cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, transforming theoretical research into practical applications that serve communities, academia, and industry.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General, and Dr. Jassim Haji, Executive Advisor to His Highness Sheikh Nasser. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished academics, administrators, and experts participating in the congress, underscoring both sides’ commitment to advancing academic and research collaboration between the UAE and Bahrain.
The agreement focuses on developing joint projects in artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and applied research, maximizing the impact of scientific studies by translating them into practical solutions and technologies that benefit society and support both academic and industrial sectors. It also includes knowledge exchange, joint conferences, workshops, publications, and training programs, strengthening the regional and global standing of both institutions.
The MoU further outlines the creation of joint task forces to oversee project implementation, safeguard intellectual property rights, ensure information confidentiality, allocate project-specific budgets, and establish mechanisms for addressing potential challenges during execution—ensuring sustainable cooperation and effective outcomes.
Additionally, the agreement includes frameworks for performance evaluation, collaborative scientific publishing, and the integration of AI-driven smart solutions—bridging academic research with real-world applications. Both parties emphasized that this MoU marks a major milestone in fostering innovation and advancing scientific research, promoting the integration of artificial intelligence into practical fields, and expanding academic and technical collaboration between institutions in the UAE and Bahrain. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to building a knowledge-driven, innovative, and sustainable regional future.
