Emirates Scholar and Society of Scholars Explore Prospects for Joint Collaboration

Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies held a strategic meeting with a delegation from Society of Scholars to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration and unify efforts in supporting the scientific and research movement across the Arab region. The delegation included Prof. Ghanim Kashwani, Treasurer of the Society of Scholars, and Dr. Rashed Karkain, Vice President of the Society.
The two sides explored opportunities to establish a strategic partnership that combines individual empowerment with institutional support, paving the way for launching specialized research initiatives and joint scientific programs aligned with the UAE’s national priorities and aimed at elevating the role of scientific research in the country.
During the meeting, Dr. Firas Habbal, President and Vice-Chancellor of Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies, stated:
“We believe that the true strength of scientific research lies in collaboration and knowledge exchange. Today’s partnership marks a new beginning for enhancing the regional research ecosystem. We look forward to an active collaboration that enriches Arabic scientific content and elevates the UAE’s position in global research rankings, placing it among the world’s leading nations in science and knowledge.”
Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General of the Center and Board of Trustees Member, added:
“We have agreed on a clear roadmap that includes joint training programs, regular scientific conferences, and cross-border research initiatives. Our goal is to empower researchers with the tools they need to face future challenges and to translate scientific ideas into tangible, impactful solutions.”
Prof. Ghanim Kashwani, Treasurer of the Society of Scholars, praised the leading role of the Emirates Scholar Center, affirming that this partnership will open wide horizons for young researchers:
“This collaboration is a qualitative step forward, a golden opportunity for our youth to access an extensive network of experts and advanced resources. We are committed to providing all necessary support to ensure that the outcome of this partnership is a new generation of researchers capable of leading innovation and contributing effectively to the comprehensive development of our nation”.
