A sociological approach to social values and their role in building a civilization of peace and rejecting violence in Moroccan society

Conclusion

This scientific paper aims to approach social values sociologically (their connotations, dimensions, attributes and measurement), and to highlight the pivotal role that social values play in shaping societies and civilizations, with a special focus on the Moroccan experience model. This scientific paper reviews the importance of social values in building social cohesion and their impact on individual behavior, and highlights the value of peace and rejection of violence as one of the most important values that characterized Moroccan society and contributed to its civilizational construction and continuity for many centuries. The research relied on the historical, descriptive and analytical method to understand social values sociologically on the one hand, and to explore the work and role of social values in society on the other hand, and a range of historical and sociological sources were used to provide a comprehensive picture of the value of peace and non-violence, especially among Moroccan tribes and its manifestations in the living reality. The study showed that social values play a crucial role in shaping the identity of society and guiding the behavior of its members. It also highlighted that the values of peace and non-violence were among the most important values that prevailed in Moroccan society throughout history, which contributed to building a prosperous empire capable of coexisting with different cultures. Social values are a fundamental pillar for building strong and cohesive societies. With the challenges faced by contemporary societies, understanding and developing authentic values is crucial. In the case of Moroccan society, preserving the values of peace and non-violence is a guarantee of continued progress and prosperity.
