Emirati Scholar Center is a Community Partner of The Youth Scientific Research and Innovation Award at The University of Sharjah.

Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies participated in the launch ceremony of the “Youth Scientific Research and Innovation Award”, introduced by the University of Sharjah under the slogan “With Youth, We Can”. The award reflects a collaborative effort aimed at supporting scientific research and innovation, empowering young people, and strengthening their role in knowledge production and in shaping a future driven by creativity and academic excellence.

Emirates Scholar Center’s participation aligns with its mission to advance the national scientific research ecosystem by encouraging students and young researchers to engage early in research and innovation pathways. The Center also seeks to provide effective platforms that transform creative ideas into applicable research projects that contribute to society and support sustainable development.

The Award was launched through the research outdated department under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies office, under the leadership of ​​Prof. Esameldin Agamy, Chancellor University of Sharjah. It aims to motivate distinguished students to continue their research journeys, enhance communication between students and research experts, and foster a culture of academic collaboration. The Award includes two tracks—Innovative Research Projects and Innovative Ideas—and targets undergraduate students at the University of Sharjah. Submissions are scheduled to open at the beginning of January 2026.

During the ceremony, Dr. Firas Habbal, President & Vice Chancellor of Emirates Scholar Center, stated: “We believe that investing in young talent is the most effective path to strengthening the competitiveness of UAE scientific research and reinforcing its presence locally and globally”.

He further emphasized the Center’s commitment to supporting high-impact initiatives that promote innovation, provide an enabling and motivating environment for students and young researchers, and prepare a generation capable of addressing scientific and societal challenges through research and creative thinking.At the conclusion of the event, the University of Sharjah honored Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies among the strategic sponsors and community partners supporting the Award, in recognition of its active role in advancing scientific research and innovation, empowering youth, and strengthening institutional partnerships aimed at developing the national research and innovation landscape.
