Emirates Scholar as an Academic Partner at the Sharjah International Education Summit 2025

Sharjah – As part of its commitment to supporting educational research and advancing learning systems, the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, a subsidiary of Emirates Science and Research Foundation, participated as an Academic partner in the 4th edition of the Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education. The summit was organized by the Sharjah Education Academy in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority, under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

The summit gathered over 2,500 in-person attendees and more than 4,500 virtual participants, bringing together leading education experts, policymakers, and academics to discuss the latest developments in the field of education. This year’s edition focused on key themes, including artificial intelligence, educational leadership, inclusivity, and sustainable and innovative education.

Emirates Scholar Center’s Participation in the Summit

During the summit, the Emirates Scholar Center presented its latest research on the role of technology in enhancing education quality, featuring analytical studies on AI applications in the learning process and their impact on developing student and teacher skills. The center also participated in panel discussions addressing the importance of data-driven decision-making in education and strategies for improving education quality through scientific research.

The summit was organized by the Sharjah Education Academy in collaboration with the Sharjah Private Education Authority, under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

In this context, Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Center and Vice-Chancellor of Board of Trustees, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the role of research in educational development and innovation, stating:

“Scientific research is the cornerstone of educational advancement and innovation. In our rapidly evolving world, we cannot rely solely on traditional methods—we must embrace evidence-based practices to prepare future generations for upcoming challenges. The UAE is setting a global example in this field, and we are here to discuss how research can further contribute to building sustainable knowledge societies”.

However, we must navigate its challenges carefully to ensure that we maximize its benefits without compromising the quality and authenticity of knowledge. Building an AI-driven educational system requires close collaboration between researchers, educators, and developers to ensure equal opportunities and promote inclusive, balanced learning”.

The Emirates Scholar Center reaffirmed its commitment to advancing educational research by developing in-depth studies on modern educational strategies and contributing to the formulation of research-based education policies. The center aims to enhance the learning environment and elevate education quality in the UAE and the broader Arab region.
