Autism. Challenges and Solutions XI – 2023
International research and practice conference Autism. Challenges and Solutions» covers a broad set of issues related to autism and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The conference is envisioned not only as an experience sharing event, but also as an attempt to deal with a serious medical and social problem which is not getting its fare share of attention in most countries.
The educational goal of the conference is to pull autism out of the shadows. This creates an opportunity to introduce recent advances in protocols and methods into clinical practice and to encourage research to solve various problems of autism.

For more than 50 years, ARI has been at the forefront of modern autism research. ARI works to pioneer efforts in biological research, educational outreach, and networking across organizations worldwide.
While the causes of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) remain unclear, recent scientific advances challenge the traditional view of autism as an untreatable, “genetically hard-wired” disease. These scientific research strides support the position ARI ― and its founder, renowned psychologist and autism researcher Dr. Bernard Rimland ― has always maintained: Autism is treatable.

With the aim of aligning and consolidating the efforts made in the field of People of Determination care, and as per the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may his soul rest in peace),The Late H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ,( (may his soul rest in peace) , issued, during his tenure as Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Law No. (2) dated April 19, 2004, establishing Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as an umbrella for all humanitarian bodies, social services, people of determination institutions and any future bodies established in Abu Dhabi for humanitarian goals. The Amiri decree No. (7), for the year 2014, has been issued, on 29/05/2014, forming a new Board of Directors for Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
ZHO enjoys full financial and administrative independence and is run by its Board of Directors of 7 to 11 members. ZHO performs its activities as per the plans and directives of its Board to achieve its goals. The General Secretariat of the Organization takes all necessary actions and measures to ensure ZHO’s efficient functioning. All ZHO’s Centers and clubs are contributing to achieving the noble goals, showing a keen interest in this segment of society.
