Academic Collaboration Between Emirates Scholar Center and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai welcomed a delegation from the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, which included Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General & Board of Trustees member, and Mr. Khalid Al Ali, Treasury. The two sides discussed prospects for joint academic and research collaboration.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities in innovation, technology transfer, and the development of applied studies, in addition to reviewing avenues for scientific publishing through the Center’s peer-reviewed journals and coordinating the launch of joint research projects in advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and applied research.

This meeting comes as part of the Emirates Scholar Center’s efforts to build strategic partnerships with leading academic institutions that contribute to advancing the scientific research ecosystem and fostering knowledge exchange, in line with the UAE’s priorities in higher education and sustainable development.

The session concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continued coordination and the development of joint initiatives that support the research environment in the country and reinforce its position as a regional and global hub for knowledge and innovation.
