UAE–Russia Partnership Renewed in Abu Dhabi on the Sidelines of the 2nd European Arab Medical Congress

Abu Dhabi, UAE – On the sidelines of the closing of the 2nd European Arab Medical Congress, a high-level UAE–Russia partnership meeting was held in Abu Dhabi. The meeting brought together H.E. Abdulla Al Humaidan, Director-General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, and H.E. Dr. Viktor Koksharov, President of Ural Federal University, alongside Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies and Vice Chancellor of its Board of Trustees, Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General and Board of Trustees Member, and the accompanying academic delegation from Ural Federal University.

Strengthening UAE–Russia Scientific and Academic Cooperation

The meeting focused on strengthening academic and scientific collaboration between the two countries’ research institutions, exploring new opportunities for joint projects in medical, psychological, and technological fields. Both sides reviewed the progress and outcomes of their existing initiatives—particularly the Emirati–Russian Psychology Dictionary Project and the GPT Dictionary—considered among the most significant milestones in scientific and knowledge cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation.

Advancing the Emirati–Russian Psychology Dictionary

The discussion included an in-depth review of the project’s first phase, which featured the creation of a bilingual scientific database of core psychological terminology and the development of the technical infrastructure for the project’s dedicated digital platform.

Participants outlined the next phases of collaboration, including:

• Expanding the project to cover additional scientific disciplines.
• Developing standardized APIs to integrate the dictionary with artificial intelligence applications.
• Enabling researchers and students to utilize it within smart learning systems and AI-driven education tools.

A Landmark Project in Bilateral Scientific Cooperation

The Emirati–Russian Psychology Dictionary stands as one of the most prominent outcomes of the bilateral scientific partnership. The project aims to evolve into a specialized digital platform hosted by the Emirates Scholar Center, linked with international academic databases, making it a credible global reference for researchers and practitioners in psychology and related sciences.

The initiative seeks to bridge human knowledge and intelligent technologies, aligning with the UAE’s vision to harness artificial intelligence in advancing the humanities and medical sciences. The project team is also working toward registering the dictionary with UNESCO and global library forums, reinforcing its status as an internationally recognized academic resource.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining this collaboration as part of the UAE’s broader vision to build strategic partnerships with leading global research institutions, strengthen the country’s position in scientific research and innovation, and contribute to achieving sustainable development and knowledge transfer for future generations.
