3rd International Dialogue of Civilizations & Tolerance Conference
Under the esteemed patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister
of Tolerance and Coexistence, the International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance
stands as a global platform for advancing peace, coexistence, and intercultural understanding.
Presented by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research & Studies, in collaboration with the
UAE Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, the conference convenes distinguished leaders
from government, academia, civil society, technology, media, and faith communities to engage in
meaningful dialogue on issues shaping our shared future.
The third edition of the conference is held under the theme: “Dialogue of Tolerance in the Digital Media & AI Era.” This theme reflects the profound transformation of human interaction in the age of digital connectivity and artificial intelligence. Digital media and AI technologies have redefined how
societies communicate, shaping narratives, influencing values, and impacting the very fabric of
intercultural relations. While these tools present unprecedented opportunities for fostering
dialogue and understanding, they also pose risks of polarization, misinformation, and exclusion.
Organizer
The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence is charged with the responsibility of overseeing and implementing the pillars of the ‘National Tolerance Program’ which falls under its remit. This program is endorsed and approved by the U.A.E. Federal Cabinet and represents a broader platform where the Ministry embodies the nation’s commitment to join with the entire world in support of tolerance, pluralism, and peaceful and mutually beneficial coexistence. In celebrating the golden jubilee in the year of the nation’s fiftieth anniversary since its founding, the United Arab Emirates is ready to journey towards the next fifty by sharing its experience as a peaceful and inclusive country. It aims to gain from others a wider understanding of the universal power of working together for the benefit of all of humanity. It is from this focal position that the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence engages with entities, communities and affiliations both locally and globally, to synergize its role in society as an enabler of tolerance
The Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies (ESCRS) is an independent center that seeks to enrich public dialogue, and decision support, and to promote academic research related to future trends.
ESCRS was established to take responsibility for research development in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab region. As stated in its founding agreement, our mission is to contribute to the development of scientific research in the United Arab Emirates.
We monitor current and potential trends, unconventional ideas, and impending phenomena that contribute to shaping the future in the short term. especially in the Gulf region, we analyze and evaluate them. In addition, we present perceived alternatives for dealing with trends using advanced methodologies and scholarly activities that engage academics, researchers, and public figures from the UAE and abroad.
