Abstract

This is 3 minutes talk as per the invite received to Khalifa University and directed to faculty. I was requested to upload the presentation for review, and I could not find specific link for attaching it. so I am adding it here This talk explores how artificial intelligence is transforming the way civilizations interact, not only as a technological tool but as a mediator of perception and understanding. It highlights how unequal access to digital infrastructure and energy resources risks creating new divides in participation and representation. Moving beyond “Artificial Intelligence,” the talk introduces the concept of “Artificial Understanding”, a human-centered approach to designing inclusive, ethical, and culturally aware technologies. Ultimately, it calls for deliberate choices to ensure that AI fosters mutual understanding rather than deepening global inequalities.
