UAE researchers elevate Kenya’s academic scene with advanced artificial intelligence workshop

Abu Dhabi – August 14 – The Emirates Research and Studies Center (ERSC) successfully organized an interactive workshop on how to write scientific research and academic writing using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques, in collaboration with the Saifi University in Nairobi, Kenya. The workshop targeted postgraduate students, researchers and academics, and introduced them to the latest tools and techniques for adapting artificial intelligence that will enhance their research and academic writing capabilities.

The workshop was designed to cover a wide range of topics, from an introduction to AI and its applications in scientific research, to how to use advanced tools to collect, analyze, interpret, and visualize data. The workshop also included interactive sessions and hands-on workshops, giving participants the opportunity to apply what they learned.

Dr. Firas Habal, President of the Emirates Scholars Center and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said that this initiative comes in line with the vision of the wise leadership to empower youth around the world and equip them with the necessary skills to contribute to building a better future. He added that this initiative confirms the UAE’s commitment to promote dialogue between different cultures, societies and religions, praising Kenya’s pioneering role in this field

Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary General and member of the Board of Trustees of the Center, expressed his happiness for this fruitful cooperation with Saifi University. He stressed the importance of exchanging knowledge and expertise in the field of artificial intelligence between different countries as the best way to face future global challenges, such as applying the principles of peaceful coexistence between societies and providing full support to the least interested groups in society, by maximizing the potential of artificial intelligence and scientific and academic research.

For his part, Dr. Elias bin Tayeb Al-Badri, Rector of Saifi University in Kenya, praised this fruitful scientific addition, stressing the importance of such practical workshops in developing the capabilities of students and researchers. He added: “We are proud to host this distinguished workshop, which will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing the position of Saifiyah University as a center of knowledge and academic excellence.”

With this workshop, the Emirates Researchers Center for Research and Studies reaffirms its commitment to supporting scientific research and developing young cadres, and strives to expand these initiatives to more universities and research institutions around the world
