Abstract

Providing Housing Has Become Increasingly A Challenge Although It Is A Basic Universal Right With Its Most Simple Typology Being A Shelter Or Tent. This Paper Presents Work Aiming To Revisit The Issues Of Existing Pop-Up Typologies. In Doing So It Seeks To Identify Opportunities For New Models Of Shelter By Advancing Design To Production Methodologies Based On Computational And Robotic Techniques With The Ultimate Goal To Meet Current Requirements And Affordances, While Integrating Sustainable And Adaptive Functionalities.
