Emirates Scholar and Fujairah Culture and Media Authority Sign MOU to Strengthen Academic and Cultural Collaboration 

In a strategic move to foster academic and cultural cooperation and advance research and innovation, the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, a subsidiary of the Emirates Science and Research Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. This partnership aims to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange between the two institutions and develop programs and initiatives that benefit UAE society and enhance Fujairah’s status as a cultural and media hub. 

The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Secretary-General of the Emirates Scholar Center and a member of its Board of Trustees, represented the center, while H.E. Nasser Al Yamahi, Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, signed on behalf of the authority. The event was attended by senior officials from both sides and included discussions on key future collaboration areas, particularly in developing cultural and media studies and organizing joint events. 

H.E. Nasser Al Yamahi expressed his pride in this collaboration, stating: 
“We are proud to strengthen our partnership with the Emirates Scholar Center. Sharing knowledge and expertise with esteemed research and academic institutions is fundamental to advancing research, media, and culture. We are confident that this partnership will support the authority’s objectives of spreading cultural awareness and developing a distinguished media landscape in the UAE.” 

Dr. Fawaz Habbal also emphasized the significance of this agreement, saying: 
“We are honored to collaborate with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. This partnership will open new horizons for research and studies that foster cultural and media innovation. Through this cooperation, we aim to launch joint programs and projects that serve the shared goals of both entities and reinforce the role of culture and media in serving the community.” 

The MoU outlines collaboration in several areas, including conducting research on topics of mutual interest, sharing knowledge and expertise among researchers and experts, and supporting research activities through conferences, seminars, and workshops. Additionally, the agreement includes training and development programs designed to enhance the capabilities of Emirati youth in research, culture, and media. 

Under the agreement, the Emirates Scholar Center will offer research training opportunities for Emirati youth in cooperation with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority to strengthen their academic and cultural skills. Joint working groups and committees will be formed to ensure the implementation of projects and the achievement of mutual objectives within a comprehensive timeline. 

This MoU reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to elevating academic and cultural collaboration in the UAE. It underscores their joint vision to promote innovation and enhance research and cultural capabilities in ways that benefit UAE society and support its comprehensive development journey.
