Emirates Scholar Participates as Scientific Partner in the 3rd International Autism Conference

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The 3rd International Autism Conference concluded today at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, with wide participation from global experts and specialists. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and was jointly organized by the organization, ADNOC, Lotus Holistic Center, and Fatima College of Health Sciences.

Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, subsidiary of Emirates Science and Research Foundation, participated as a scientific partner in this prominent event, reaffirming its commitment to supporting applied research in the fields of mental health and special education. The center continues to play a vital role in building a sustainable scientific community that empowers People of Determination and enhances their quality of life.

The conference took place during World Autism Awareness Month, highlighting the UAE’s leadership in humanitarian and scientific efforts aimed at the inclusion and empowerment of People of Determination, especially individuals with autism. It provided an advanced scientific platform for developing care and rehabilitation practices based on international standards.

H.E Abdullah Al Hamidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, stated:
“The hosting of this conference in the ‘Year of Community 2025’ reflects the UAE’s commitment to leading scientific and humanitarian efforts for the empowerment of People of Determination, particularly individuals on the autism spectrum. This aligns with our vision of building a cohesive society rooted in human values and innovation”.

Running until April 22, the conference featured over 20 interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions with the participation of more than 100 experts from worldwide. It focused on the latest global research and studies in the diagnosis and treatment of autism, positioning itself as a pioneering platform for knowledge exchange among researchers, healthcare practitioners, parents, and stakeholders. Topics included genetic, neurological, and environmental factors associated with the disorder, the latest educational and therapeutic practices, and the role of artificial intelligence in early diagnosis and innovative treatment solutions.

Emirates Scholar’s participation underscores its commitment to applied scientific research in mental health and special education. The center serves as an intellectual partner in key societal issues and provides a reliable research reference and stimulating academic environment for dialogue and knowledge exchange. Through such engagement, the center contributes to the development of effective strategies for the care and rehabilitation of People of Determination, particularly those with autism, in line with the UAE’s vision for a more inclusive and humane society.
