Conclusion of the European Arab Medical Congress

The European Arab Medical Congress 2024 (EAMC) concluded today in Abu Dhabi, marking an exceptional success. Presented by the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies, subsidiary of Emirates Science and Research Foundation, in partnership with the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination and in collaboration with the ArabMed union in Europe and the European Medical Association, the event was supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau. The congress brought together leading scientists, physicians, and experts from the UAE and Europe, with the final day dedicated to scientific sessions exploring the latest advancements in medicine and healthcare. The final sessions of the European Arab Medical Congress 2024 featured in-depth discussions focusing on several key topics, including: Reviewing successful practical applications of bone marrow extracts as part of modern therapeutic techniques, A comprehensive examination of the evolution of treatment strategies over generations, with a focus on future perspectives, and Exploring the latest surgical and therapeutic approaches, supported by practical examples from global expertise.

Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Center and Vice Chancellor of its Board of Trustees, delivered a closing speech, stating:
“The success of the European Arab Medical Congress 2024 reflects our steadfast commitment to advancing scientific research and fostering international collaboration in the medical field. The discussions and contributions over the past days will serve as an inspiration to drive medical progress and realize a sustainable future vision for healthcare.”

Dr. Ismael Abbara, Chair of the Conference Scientific Committee, expressed his appreciation, saying:
“This congress has provided an exceptional platform for knowledge sharing and expertise exchange. We are proud to strengthen our partnerships with institutions and medical professionals in the Arab world, particularly in the UAE, reflecting our shared commitment to serving humanity and achieving comprehensive healthcare.”

The congress concluded with a roundtable discussion focused on future strategic recommendations to enhance medical and research collaboration between Europe and the Arab world, including: Strengthening partnerships among medical institutions to support joint research and develop innovative treatment technologies, Investing in advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve the efficiency of daily medical practices, Organizing joint educational programs and workshops to support continuous medical education, Facilitating opportunities for international collaboration in medical research and expertise exchange, and Establishing collaborative research projects to provide effective solutions for chronic diseases and modern health challenges.

The closing session witnessed an exchange of commemorative shields between Dr. Firas Habbal, President of Emirates Scholar Center and Vice Chancellor of the Board of Trustees, and His Excellency Abdulla Al Humaidan, Secretary General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination. This was followed by the presentation of certificates of appreciation to exhibitors and supporting organizations in recognition of their role in the success of the event. In a forward-looking announcement, Abu Dhabi was confirmed as the host city for the 2025 and 2026 editions of the European Arab Medical Congress, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining its leading role in healthcare and promoting international collaboration.
